Oh boy! That's a good one. Seems like leaving them out is the generous christmasy thing to do. But I have to have them put away! It is just as fun out of sight. :-)
Seems like when I was a kid they were left under the tree (arranged neatly) and it did seem generous and christmasy, but I usually go for putting them away asap.
Under the tree for as long as you can stand it! All that energy and time and money should be enjoyed for days and days! Probably the one time of year where I relax about all the housework, the second I go to bed on Christmas Eve until New Year's Day!
Our living room is just so small - the tree and presents are truly the elephant in the room. Plus we have a new kitten and I suspect he's been sneaking behind the tree and doing his business there.
