Haven eaten poke sald, I can tell you gathering grass clippings in your lawn may taste as good. With that said, for anyone tempted to cook poke salad. Remember you have to boil and pour the liquid off at least ten times to remove the alkaloid toxin. It is a delicacy which can kill you.
